Flavor structure with multi moduli in 5D SUGRA

چکیده
We investigate 5-dimensional supergravity on S/Z2 with a physical Z2-odd vector multiplet, which yields an additional modulus other than the radion. We find additional terms in the 4-dimensional effective theory that are peculiar to the multi moduli case. Such terms can make the soft masses are non-tachyonic and almost flavor-universal at tree-level, in contrast to the single modulus case. This provides a new possibility to solve the SUSY flavor problem.

Radius stabilization in 5D SUGRA models on orbifold
We study a four-dimensional effective theory of the five-dimensional (5D) gauged supergravity with a universal hypermultiplet and perturbative superpotential terms at the orbifold fixed points. The class of models we consider includes the 5D heterotic M-theory and the supersymmetric Randall-Sundrum model as special limits of the gauging parameters. We analyse the vacuum structure of the models,...
متن کاملSUGRA chaotic inflation and moduli stabilisation
Chaotic inflation predicts a large gravitational wave signal which can be tested by the upcoming Planck satellite. We discuss a SUGRA implementation of chaotic inflation in the presence of moduli fields, and find that inflation does not work with a generic KKLT moduli stabilisation potential. A viable model can be constructed with a fine-tuned moduli sector, but only for a very specific choice ...
متن کاملAlmost No-Scale Supergravity
We construct an explicit 5-dimensional supergravity model that realizes the ‘no scale’ mechanism for supersymmetry breaking with no unstable moduli. Supersymmetry is broken by a constant superpotential localized on a brane, and the radion is stabilized by Casimir energy from supergravity and massive hypermultiplets. If the standard model gauge and matter fields are localized on a brane, then vi...
متن کاملNon-universal Soft Parameters in Brane World and the Flavor Problem in Supergravity
We consider gravity mediated supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking in 5D spacetime with two 4D branes B1 and B2 separated in the extra dimension. Using an off-shell 5D supergravity (SUGRA) formalism, we argue that the SUSY breaking scales could be non-universal even at the fundamental scale in brane world setting, since SUSY breaking effects could be effectively localized. As an application, we suggest...
متن کاملRenormalization Group Flows in the Deformed Ads/cft Correspondence
In the AdS/CFT correspondence motion in the radial direction of the AdS space is identified with renormalization group flow in the field theory. For the N=4 YangMills theory this motion is trivial. More interesting examples of renormalization group flow occur when the N=4 theory is deformed. Aspects of the flows are discussed for the N=4 theory on its moduli space, and deformed to N=2 in the in...
